Eligibility Criteria for GU PhD Admission 2025
- Master’s Degree or equivalent from Gauhati University or any recognized institute with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/Differently Abled).
- Final-year postgraduate students may also apply but must submit results before final selection.
- Additional subject-specific eligibility may apply as per department norms.
- For Medical Sciences, relevant council guidelines (MCI/INC/RCI) will be applicable.

The PhD admission process at Gauhati University consists of:
