Qualification & Age Limit Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
Technician Apprentice: 3-Year Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil) from a recognized university/institute.
Trade Apprentice (ITI): Class 10 Pass with ITI (NCVT/SCVT recognized) in Fitter, Chemical, Electrician, or relevant trade.
Trade Apprentice (B.Sc / B.Com / B.A.): 3-Year B.Sc (PCM/CBZ) for Chemical/Lab roles; B.Com for Accountant roles; B.A./B.Sc/B.Com for Secretarial Assistant roles.
Data Entry Operator Apprentice: Class 12 Pass (Fresher or with Skill Certificate in DEO).
BCPL Executive Posts: B.E. / B.Tech / MBA / CA / ICWA with required post-qualification experience as per post grade.
2. Age Limit (As on Cut-Off Date)
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years (for Apprenticeships) (Age relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10 years for PwBD).
Executive / Contractual Posts: Up to 35 – 52 years depending on post grade (E-1 to E-7).
Remuneration & Stipend
Trade & Technician Apprentices: Stipend provided as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprenticeship Rules (approx. ₹9,000 – ₹15,000 per month depending on qualification grade).
BCPL Executives / Contractual Roles: Basic Pay Level E-1 to E-7 scale (ranging from ₹40,000 to ₹2,40,000 + allowances depending on cadre grade).
Selection Process
Apprentice Posts (IOCL, BCPL & OIL):
Stage 1: Shortlisting based on marks obtained in qualifying examinations (Diploma / ITI / Degree / Class 12) via NATS/NAPS portals.
Stage 2: Document Verification.
Stage 3: Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Examination.
Executive / Contractual Posts (BCPL / Oil India):
Written Test / Personal Interview and Document Verification.
